So last night was the MTV Movie Awards, which I totally forgot about and thus didn’t watch. Which is why there aren’t any witty recaps or mentions of bad fashion, lousy award acceptance speeches and winners and losers. Fortunately, everyone else is talking about it and I can offer you the roundup:

Yes indeedy. Ashlee Simpson-Wentz now has a growing belly to match her growing name. In a statement released today at the website friendsorenemies.com, the couple said "While many have speculated about this, we wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm that we are expecting our first child. This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family."

So the is Pete Wentz, who denied Ashlee was pregnant a few weeks ago, a liar-liar-pants on fire? From MTV.com :

"Every woman, no matter who they are or what they do for a living, has the right to wait at least 3 months before sharing this very personal news," he wrote.
