Well…at least you won’t have to call the baby illegitimate. People is reporting that knocked up celebrity teen Jamie Lynn Spears and her baby daddy Casey Aldridge are engaged. Friends are reporting of a diamond on Jamie Lynn’s left ring finger. Isn’t that just sweet? So far there’s no confirmation and no date to report. All we know is a baby is due this summer.

Well Jamie Lynn Spears is doing one thing right. She’s going to be raising her baby away from the bad influences in Los Angeles opting for her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana. MSNBC is reporting Jamie Lynn had Petite Tresor, the upscale baby chain, design an ocean-themed nursery for Britney’s Kentwood home. In fact, Britney picked up the tab for the $30,000 design. So much for her allowance.

At 16, Jamie Lynn Spears has her GED. I suppose she went the GED route instead of finishing high school because she’ll be kept busy with her new baby? It’ll be interesting to see if she uses her diploma to continue her education.

In any event, congratulations to Jamie Lynn for completing her high school requirements. With her money, she certainly didn’t have to.
