Bumpwatch: Jennifer Lopez

December 3rd, 2007

Jennifer Lopez has the best maternity wear of any pregnant lady I know. She certainly didn’t get this outfit at Motherhood Maternity, but then J.Lo doesn’t exactly seem like a mall shopper, does she? Here she is with husband Marc Anthony as she attended Movies Rock: A Celebration Of Music In Film in Hollywood yesterday.

If Jennifer Lopez wasn’t expecting a couple of babies, it would be safe to say she’s having a bad year. Her album tanked,  her film with husband Marc Anthony tanked, and now her latest film release “Bordertown” is heading straight to video. In fact, the flick was booed at the Berlin film festival.

Is Jennifer Lopez a Limo Deadbeat?

October 23rd, 2007

Jennifer Lopez likes to hire cars and drivers for herself and her entourage, but she doesn’t like to pay for them. When she was in New York City in July for the premiere of her movie “El Cantante,” she hired limos to take her around. She also hired limos to cart around her husband and other family and friends. Now she doesn’t want to pay the $16,000 bill.

“Jennifer is being very difficult,” said Spiegel Limousine Corp. honcho Sherif, who asked that his last name not be used. “We’ve been calling for several months to collect on the bill. When I asked why they aren’t paying, the account person claimed nobody had authorized the transactions.” Lopez’s people apparently disagreed with Spiegel over how much is owed for time when the cars had to wait for passengers. After we called Lopez’s reps, Sherif asked us to quash the story, claiming he wouldn’t be paid if we reported the dispute. A Lopez rep told us, “The bills were being reviewed because there were some inaccuracies. An amount has been decided on, and payments are being made.”

$16,000? That’s a lot of driving!
