According to Perez Hilton, Mel B. married her boyfriend, movie producer Stephen Belafonte. They eloped to Las Vegas and married July 6th. So now we know why Mel was drinking all that champagne!
“Mel’s tried very hard to keep this under wraps, especially with the paternity case against Eddie [Murphy] and everything going on,” a source tells us. “She really values her privacy.”

Eddie Murphy’s Lifestyle Issues
Melanie Brown wasn’t down with some of Eddie Murphy’s lifestyle issues and felt something would have to change if they stayed together and raised their child.
“There were certain things that went on in his house with his lifestyle that I wasn’t prepared to be a part of,” Brown says on essence.com. “I have a baby with this guy, so I have to be somewhat respectful. I’ll simply say that there were lifestyle changes that he would have to make if we were going to live together. I don’t have people knocking on my door at 3 and 4 in the morning.”

While Murphy’s people have no comment, a source close to Brown said “He’s the baby’s father, it’s official. The baby is undoubtedly, 110 percent his.”
I see a multi-million dollar paternity suit in this coouple’s future.
