Owen Wilson attended the Los Angeles premiere of the The Darjeeling Limited yesterday, hoping to put all of this nasty attempted suicide business behind him.

Sporting a shaggy blond beard and a dark jacket, Wilson was joined by fellow cast mates Adrien Brody, Anjelica Huston, Jason Schwartzman and filmmaker Wes Anderson. It was among Wilson’s first public appearances since a suicide attempt in late August.

Before the movie started, Anderson introduced Wilson, his longtime friend and collaborator, saying, “I’ve never made a movie without him and I hope I never have to.”

Let’s hope Owen is getting the help he needs and we see him back to his old self soon.

Owen Wilson’s BFF, Ben Stiller, gave a report as to how the “You, Me & Dupree” actor is doing since his failed suicide attempt.

“He’s doing really well,” Stiller, 41, tells Ellen DeGeneres on her show Friday.“I sort of like to protect his privacy, ’cause I feel like it’s his own thing,” says Stiller. “But he’s a really good friend of mine. He’s an incredible guy and I wish him as everybody does, all the best.”

“I know that he’ll put his life together,” the elder Stiller, who also costarred with Wilson in 2001’s Zoolander, told PEOPLE. He added that his son has been “very close to Owen for most of their careers,” and that Ben had been an “advocate” in “intervention and all that stuff.

Hmm….an intervention, huh? So that’s pretty much confirmation of drug abuse.

Michael Douglas wants Owen Wilson to know he’s in his thoughts.

“My heart goes out to him,” The Oscar-winning actor/producer and son of Hollywood legend told OK!. “He must be in a lot of pain, and I hope he gets healed.”

Owen Wilson has attempted suicide twice before, so says the National Enquirer. The tabloid claims Wilson mixed a deadly drug cocktail a few months before this latest suicide attempt and that he’s struggled with depression for most of his life.

“A good portion of his life has been dedicated to fighting depression and addiction,” said a friend of the family

“Owen’s been on and off drugs for years - and this is actually the third time he’s tried killing himself.”

Let’s hope he’s now getting the help he needs.
