Snoop Dogg will be wearing one of those orange vests and pick trash and clean toilets at a local park as part of a community service agreement after he plead guilty for carrying an illegal police baton in his luggage. Yeah I know. Why people are still trying to get away with carrying weapons or drugs on planes is totally beyond me, but whatever.

 Deputy Dist. Atty. Andre Manssourian said today that he gave the artist a list of options available to defendants ordered to perform community service. The name of the park where he will be working is not being released to prevent disruptions, Manssourian said. He will be part of a crew supervised by a park ranger.

“I pointed him to a website of places that were all probation-approved,” he said. “He picked the place. And once you pick the place, the job description is set in stone.”

Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, pleaded guilty last month to knowingly possessing a deadly weapon as part of a deal with prosecutors under which the felony count could be reduced to a misdemeanor after a year if he does not break the law or the conditions of his probation.

Broadus was ordered to serve 160 hours of community service, but is restricted from working with gangs, children or his nonprofit youth football league to fulfill his obligation “because the spirit of the community service offer is for him to do the work in a manner in which he isn’t glorified in the eyes of children,” Manssourian told the court.

Broadus also agreed to donate $10,000 to the Orange County charity Right Trak, which helps troubled children, and to pay more than $1,000 in fines and court fees.

The trash part I can handle, but scrubbing park toilets. No thanks.

It appears famed rapper Snoop Dogg was held for questioning overnight on suspicion of using illegal narcotics. Surprise, surprise.

However, Snoop Dogg was released following the interrogation and drug tests. Apparently, he was heading to a party following a concert in the Swedish capital when police pulled him over at 1:30 a.m. Snoop Dogg and the female companion he was riding with both showed signs of illegal drug use, and were called in for questioning.
