We can put all the speculation behind the Zac Efron Vanessa Hudgens split to rest. It was Zac who dumped Vanessa. “Zac ended it,” an insider close to the pair reveals exclusively to OK!. And the reason? “Not shockingly, the 19-year-old actor wasn’t too happy when nude pics of his barely legal gal pal started popping up all over the internet.”

Vanessa Hudgens can’t be feeling to great. Unless the attention from her nude photos is exactly what she wanted, then congratulations and stuff. Anyway, even so, she’s not having a very good day. In addition to her attorney suing her, she and Zac Efron have broken up. While rumors of this have been swirling for a while, A Disney rep is confirming the break up.
There are reports that Zac Efron has been secretly dating his Hairspray co-star Nikki Blonsky, and that the Vanessa Hudgens nude photo scandal pushed him deeper into her arms. Though Zac is admitting Nikki is his best friend, an insider told Star Magazine last money they were seen making out. “Zac said they’ve made out,” says the source. “And that Nikki’s a great kisser. He also thinks she’s very sexy and admits he doesn’t even notice she’s carrying a few extra pounds. Zac and Vanessa used to argue a lot.”
“(Zac and Vanessa) were jealous of each other. But Zac says Nikki is totally understanding and accepting of his popularity and isn’t threatened by it.”
In a statement released yesterday, Disney is showing support for Vanessa Hudgens after her nude and racy photos hit the Internet yesterday.
“Vanessa has apologized for what was obviously a lapse in judgment,†said Disney Channel spokeswoman Patti McTeague. “We hope she’s learned a valuable lesson.â€
Yes and we also learned that the High School Musical franchise is a huge cash cow and it wouldn’t do to mess with that.
Forgive me, I’m about to go off a bit. Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you know by now that Vanessa Hudgens’ carpet matches her curtains. From what I understand, she took those photos for her boyfriend, the lovely and wholesome Zac Efron. Except he’s not so wholesome if he’s accepting nude photos, no? If Disney is going to fire the person who sent the photos, they should also can the person who gladly accepted said photos, otherwise we’re talking a double standard. No, Zac didn’t take off his clothes, but he’s partly to blame here for encouraging Vanessa to take off hers.
I’m not going to minimize what Vanessa did. It was a foolish, stupid move and no teenager should be taking nude photos for her boyfriend. Period. But if she’s being fired from Disney for sullying their image, then shouldn’t Zac be fired too? After all, she took those photos for him. He’s perfectly happy to accept said photos, is he not? So why isn’t his head on a platter? Shame on you, Zac Efron. You’re not a very nice boy after all.
Mothers of teenage girls everywhere, do you want your daughter to date a kid who likes his girlfriends to email smutty photos of themselves? Teenage relationships don’t last. Don’t take photos - they will be found. Let this be a lesson to you.
