Britney Spears and Jayden James Rushed to the Hospital After Custody Stand Off

It doesn’t pay to go to bed. Not when all the news happens when I’m sleeping. Britney Spears and Jayden James were rushed to the hospital last night after Britney refused to hand over her kids. The custody standoff lasted four hours. Britney was reportedly under the influence of an "unknown" substance. (It appears now Britney was drunk. - Deb)

Britney was wheeled out on a gurney from her home where she was photographed smiling brightly. She’s now at Cedars-Sinai where she’ll undergo psychiatric testing. Jayden James wa also taken away in an ambulance though it’s unsure if something was wrong or if he’s just being admitted for observation.

Here’s what went down yesterday:

• Britney Spears showed up two hours late for her deposition.
• While at her deposition, Britney was questions regarding her constant failure to comply, show up and also her substance abuse.
• Britney had the kids since noon and was to hand them over at 7:00 PM. When she failed to do so she became defiant.
• Sean Preston and Jayden James are now in the custody of their father, Kevin Federline.

What a mess. I don’t think there’s any question that Britney is unstable and needs help. Now the question is, will she accept help?
