I’m sure MTV is thrilled by all of us who tuned into the first few minutes of the VMAs expecting a great comeback performance by Britney Spears only to have us head to the fridge underwhelmed. Britney lip synched and danced, but she clearly needs more practice. And what of this much hyped performance featuring Criss Angel? There’s a report at PopCrunch of the much ballyhooed production being cancelled due to insurance fears.
What Britney and Chris were planning was to do a set of mirrors and flotation. But when told to the Palms Hotel/Casino… the hotel flipped.Insurance was the main problem, and the stage couldn’t support the performance. MTV also freaked at the last minute because of their fear of being “too controversial†during the performance. Britney and Chris were infact furious with MTV’s sad excuse and told Britney to change the performance at the last minute.
Britney’s original performance was to infact appear and disappear. To float through the air… and for much mature dancing.
Though the performance wasn’t great, I’m going to give Britney her props for going out there and getting it done. Girlfriend’s been under the microscope lately and it took a lot of guts to go up there and do it, probably knowing that we’d all be out here this morning talking smack about her. So respect to Britney for that.

Sorry because she was mad because of one performance was cancelled the main performance had to suck? Sorry that’s a grasping for straws. Instead of eating fried chicken she needs to eat a apple and actual….rehearsh!!
