Britney Spears Update: Britney is Released and Dr. Phil Makes a Statement
Pop wreck Britney Spears was sprung from the looney bin today but not before meeting with Dr. Phil. Aren’t they the pair? What great publicity for both of them!
First things first.
So apparently the hospital thought Britney well enough to go home and released her this afternoon. Which means we’ll probably see her out and about tonight. The hospital chose to release Unfitney Britney without notifying any of the key players in the custody dispute and hostage situation. In other words, a couple of attorneys are going to be pissed. There are also reports of Britney throwing screaming fits all over the 7th floor of the hospital, requesting her immediate dismissal, which may be why they kicked her ass to the curb.
Sometime in the middle of all this, Britney met with Dr. Phil of all people. Dr. Phil is planning on having a whole show devoted to Britney Spears on Monday and hopes Brit Brit will make an appearance. I wouldn’t count on it, but what a ratings bonanza, huh! That Dr. Phil really cares! He made a statement though:
"My meeting with Britney and some of her family members this morning in her room at Cedars leaves me convinced more than ever that she is in dire need of both medical and psychological intervention. She was released moments before my arrival and was packing when I entered the room. We visited for about an hour before I walked with her to her car. I am very concerned for her."
Of course you are, Dr. Phil.
