The hit series “Family Guy” on Fox has had its share of problems, but none so ridiculous as Carol Burnett’s 2 million dollar copyright infringement suit she brought against the show in March.
However, on Friday a federal judge announced he will dismiss the lawsuit.
The 74 year old comedian brought the lawsuit against “Family Guy” for its allegedly illicit use of her cleaning woman character Charwoman in an April 2006 episode.
Apparently, the episode included her character as a cleaning woman who worked in a sex shop. The episode also included a variation of Carol Burnett’s theme song to her old television show. Burnett claims these were all used without permission.
At the time of the lawsuit, the people behind “Family Guy” were very surprised there was an issue, given that the clip was only about 18 seconds.

I was on the web site for 60’s &70’s TV show themes, and the song from your show is not on there? I was looking for it because it was on of my all time favorite shows. Please check with those web sites and put the song on there. It belongs there more than some of the others. Thanks E.
