Let’s face it, we all love a good trainwreck. We complain that the news is only filled with the stories of the people who get bad attention, with nary a mention of the folks doing good, but you all must be interested or celebrity blogs like this one wouldn’t be so popular. And don’t tell me you don’t want all the latest dirt on all the bad boys and bad girls out there, because my search engine traffic tells me otherwise. With you in mind, I give you:
10. Michael Jackson:
No List of Celebrity Train Wrecks would be complete without Michael Jackson. He owes millions of dollars in mortgages, his kids aren’t in school and walk around with masks on. While he makes it a point to keep his life private, the only true mystery is why he hasn’t yet been committed.
9. Owen Wilson:
It pains me to list Owen Wilson but his attempted suicide remains one of the biggest celebrity scandals of 2007. Thankfully he has a good support group and appears to be well on the mend.
8. Rosie O’ Donnell:
After she pushes Elisabeth Hasslebeck too far, she leaves The View and continues to wage war with her big mouth on everyone from Donald Trump to Britney Spears. Oh and she wrote a book where she trashed Barbara Walters and caused a bit of controversy when she dressed her kid as a soldier.
7. Anna Nicole Smith:
Anna Nicole Smith’s tragic life and death is the subject of much controversy. Why did she “marry” Howard K. Stern? How did she and her son REALLY die? Was there no one looking out for her best interests? The people who claim to love her continue to profit from her death. Such a sad story.
6. Vanessa Hudgens:
Here’s one train wreck that led to a career boost, Vanessa Hudgens has a habit of sending nude photos to past and present flames and of course, we published them here for the world to see. And unlike many celebrity trainwrecks that lose the public interest after a week or two, over 2 months later, searches on “Vanessa Hudgens Nude” continue to be at the top of the search engine lists.
5. O.J Simpson:
O.J, Simpson is going to jail for sure this time. All parties involved in the alleged armed robbery incident are copping pleas and turning again the fallen football great.
4. Pete Dohery:
I’m not sure how many times Pete Doherty was ordered to enter rehab, but it was a lot. He lost his girl and he lost his home. Let’s see if 2008 has him getting his life back in order.
3. Lindsay Lohan:
Lilo spent 2007 either getting arrested or entering rehab. Except rehab seemed to consist of lots of recreational activities such as beer runs, rafting trips and bathroom stall sex. Is she sober? Only time will tell. Let’s see if the 84 minutes she spent in jail really sent the message home.
2. Amy Winehouse:
They tried to make her go to rehab but she said “no, no, no”. Instead she married Blake Fiedler-Civil, had a badass brawl with Blake Fielder-Civil, overdosed, went on vacation, gave a few really bad performances, was arrested for marijuana possession, and now Blake is in jail and she may or may not be snorting blow from the sleeve of her dress while on stage.
And Celebrity Cowboy’s Number 1 Trainwreck for 2007 is:

1. Britney Spears:
When Britney began stepping out with Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan at the beginning of the year, we all thought she was blowing off steam after getting out of a bad marriage. The thing is, all she did was blow off steam, oh and she drove over a couple of different photographers, she made a left on red, went for a swim in her underwear, gave a really bad VMA performance, shaved her head, exhibited odd behavior at a photo shoot, entered and exited rehab, lost custody of her kids, can’t drive with her kids in the car, all while releasing an album that’s getting fairly decent reviews.

I know Britney deserves to be in number one spot for this year. But I think MJ has to be somewhere up there, people wouldn’t call him Wacko for nothing.
Good to see people are starting to realize what a disastrous train wreck Brittany Spears always has been. Ick.
It’s a shame that the population seems so fascinated by these people.

Would someone who is close to Britney please drag her ass indoors, make her put on some underwear, make her sober up, and slap some sense in to her?!? She lost her kids for God’s sake, and doesn’t seem phased by it. So very sad.
Me thinks she’s on the exact same path as Anna Nicole Smith. Watch, by 2010, Britney will be fat, highly and permanently-narcoticized, and well, a very sad statement to what could have been.
Brit, some advice - Try following in Madonna’s shoes instead of Anna Nicole.
