Reality television staple Shawntae Harris, AKA Da Brat, was arrested just outside of Atlanta in Jermaine Dupri’s nightclub yesterday and charged with aggravated felony assault after she clocked a waitress in the face with a bottle of rum.
It all started when the waitress accidentally bumped into the rapper. Words happened, pushing and shoving ensued and the waitress walked away. That’s when Brat popped her one with the bottle. As of this writing, she’s in custidy, hoping to be arraigned within the next couple of days.
This isn’t Brat’s first brush with the law. She was arrested for the same thing in 2000 after pistol whipping a woman in another Atlanta nightclub. Maybe we need to update our list of 101 Celebrity Jailbirds.

Whatever happened to the days when you could bump into someone, say “I’m sorry” and move on without getting pistol whipped? Now every time I go to club in ATL I’m going to be looking over my shoulder to make sure I don’t mess around and stumble into Da Brat.
