Former “Baywatch” star David Hasselhoff had his visitation rights with his two teenage daughters suspended on Monday. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mark Juhas made the order, which will be in effect until May 21st pending further review of the videotape showing Hasselhoff drunk.
After the drunken videotape (believed to have been filmed by one of his daughters) emerged, Hasselhoff admitted he struggles with an alcohol problem. He’s been trying to overcome his addiction for several years.
The videotape was made to remind Hasselhoff what he’s like drunk, and to learn from that experience. Unfortunately, the tape was never meant to be made public.
“Part of recovery is relapse,” Hasselhoff said after acknowledging he’d seen the tape. “The tape was never meant to become public, but got into the hands of individuals who are not worthy of mentioning.”
It remains to be seen if Hasselhoff can stay away from the bottle for good this time.
