Eddie Murphy is Engaged

July 30th, 2007

No moss grows under Eddie Murphy’s feet. It seems like only yesterday he was dating Spice girl Melanie Brown. And it seems like only yesterday he was claiming he wasn’t the baby’s Daddy. And it seems like only yesterday DNA proved him to be a liar and a slime. Yet still, someone wants to marry this man. Murphy presented short-term girlfriend to Tracy Edmonds with a large, yellow diamond engagement ring the other day.

If Edmonds is interested in Muphy’s money, she better think again, he paid out a nice chunk of change in his first divorce settlement and will surely be paying out some serious child support.

    I didn’t know this!

    Tracey Edmonds
    From Wikipedia

Tracey E. Edmonds (born Tracey McQuarn, February 18, 1967 in Los Angeles, California) is President and CEO of Edmonds Entertainment Group, Inc. and is an ex-wife of Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds.

As President and CEO, Edmonds oversees the Yab Yum Music publishing and record label, as well as Edmonds Management, whose client roster includes Kirk Franklin, actress Loretta Devine and actor Mekhi Phifer. She also runs Edmonds Production Company with her former husband; productions include Soul Food and Josie and the Pussycats.

Edmonds and Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds married on September 5, 1992. On January 7, 2005, Edmonds filed for divorce in Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences. They announced in October 2005 that they were ending their marriage with a “permanent separation” and said they had been separated for some time. They have two sons, Brandon and Dylan Michael, who were 9 and 4 1/2 at the time of the divorce.

On August 31, 2006, it was announced that Edmonds was named president and chief operating officer of Our Stories Films, making her the first African American to head a film studio.[1]
