The premiere of High School Musical 2 was the most watched cable program ever. 17.24 million viewers tuned in! Lordy. That’s a lot of middle school students. BUT WAIT…that’s not all. High School Musical 2 was also the most watched Friday night show in five years.
Once the merchandising frenzy for High School Musical 2 dies down, you just know they’re going to start filming on High School Musical 3. Disney has a habit of milking their cash cows until they’re dry.
