Wife beater and half of the Ike and Tina Turner Review, Ike Turner died in his home in San Diego today. He was 76 years old.
“He did pass away this morning” at his home in San Marcos, said Scott M. Hanover of Thrill Entertainment Group, which managed Turner’s musical career.
There was no immediate word on the cause of death, which was first reported by celebrity website TMZ.com.
Though a talented musician, Ike Turner will forever be known as Tina Tuner’s abusive ex-husband.
