It’s official: Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are engaged

Joel Madden asked Nicole Richie to marry him last night, so he told the crowd at Good Charlotte’s show at the Clarendon Ballroom. TMZ, who broke the news, contacted Nicole’s people, but so far nothing has been confirmed.
