Personally I think Jennifer Love Hewitt is right on in her thinking. She’s not fat and we need to stop giving the impression that anything over a size zero is flabby. She blogged about the recent attention focused on her butt after a picture appeared of her in a bikini:
This is the last time I will address this subject.
I’ve sat by in silence for a long time now about the way women’s bodies are constantly scrutinized. To set the record straight, I’m not upset for me, but for all of the girls out there that are struggling with their body image.
A size 2 is not fat! Nor will it ever be. And being a size 0 doesn’t make you beautiful.
What I should be doing is celebrating some of the best days of my life and my engagement to the man of my dreams, instead of having to deal with photographers taking invasive pictures from bad angles. I know what I look like, and so do my friends and family. And like all women out there should, I love my body.
To all girls with butts, boobs, hips and a waist, put on a bikini: put it on and stay strong.
Xoxo

Rock on, J.Love.

Although I am glad that she defended herself, I think it was a bit hypocritical to allude to the fact that she is a size 2, when she isn’t.
What she was really saying was- it is ok to be fat, however, I am NOT FAT because I am a size 2.
She should have said, everyone should love their bodies regardless of their size. That would have made a better more coherent statement.
Because now she seems a hypocrite. To me she is like another hypocrite, Tyra Banks-
Ms. “I am not fat, but SO what?”, and let me get lipo, so I can get skinny again. But I am not FAT damn it, even though the pictures prove it. You can call everyone fat except me.
Any male who thinks J-Love is fat is either a fag or a little boy who is afraid of women.
