The sixth season of American Idol is almost over, and with 45 million votes in, LaKisha Jones was voted off Wednesday.
The 27-year-old singer from Michigan sang two songs, “Stayin’ Alive” and “Run To Me” to fit with the Bee Gees theme. The contestants were mentored by Barry Gibb.
After starting out strong in the beginning of the competition, LaKisha bade a tearful goodbye as she left the Idol stage.
I have to admit I’m a little disappointed. I was pulling for Jones since the beginning, but apparently America didn’t agree with me.
The remaining contestants are Blake Lewis, Melinda Dolittle and Jordin Sparks. The finale of American Idol will air May 23rd.
