Famed R&B singer Luther Ingram was pronounced dead on Monday. He was 69 years old.
The singer, best known for the hit “If Loving You Is Wrong (I Don’t Want to Be Right)” died in an Illinois hospital Monday from heart failure. Throughout the years, he has suffered with long-standing problems like diabetes, kidney disease, and partial blindness.
Born on November 30th, 1937 he began singing in a group with his siblings when he was just 10 years old.
Other songs Ingram was known for include “I’ll Be Your Shelter” and “You Never Miss Your Water.”
A “musical visitation” is planned for Sunday at St. Augustine Catholic Church in St. Louis.
