Man accused of stealing Tom & Katie’s wedding photos caught

A man who demanded $1 million not to run Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes stolen wedding photos is now in police custody.

David Han Schmidt has a reputation for peddling photos of celebrities in compromising conditions contacted Cruise’s people six weeks ago to see if he could make a deal. He’s also trying to peddle Paris Hilton’s personal diary and photos of her in various states of undress. Yeah, there’s something we don’t see everyday.

Schmidt was arrested on Tuesday and the complaint against him is sealed. He’s currently being held in lieu of $50,000 bond.
