Michael Jackson Has 25 Days to Pay His Debt or Turn Over Financial Documents

December 13th, 2007

Professional leech, Michael Jackson, has 25 days to turn over his financial details to the legal firm that successfully sued him for $256,000. If Jackson wishes to keep his finances private, he can immediately pay off his debt.

Though the law firm in question represented Michael during his child molestation trial, they haven’t yet been paid for that or another lawsuit where he was successfully sued for $900,000. Though the firm sued for more money, Michael is only paying $256,000 because Michael is appealing. Wonder whose paying those lawyers?

Michael claims part of the hold is his failure to refinance the Neverland Ranch.

Judge James C. Chalfant said Wednesday Jackson had agreed to turn over the records requested by Ayscough & Marar in October but had yet to comply.

“While the court has no reason to doubt the sincerity of the representations of his attorneys, the fact of the matter is that under law, Jackson must provide further responses to the [law firm’s] request, particularly since he agreed to do so through the meet-and-confer process,” Chalfant stated in his order.

Jackson’s legal team has said the funds he plans to use to settle his debt with the law firm have been tied up, in part because he has not yet completed a planned refinancing of his Neverland Ranch.

Jackson’s peeps are also claiming they’re not receiving enough time to go through Jacksons records. According to them, there are 30,000 boxes worth of financial documents to go through at the Neverland Ranch.

“I went to Neverland last week, and it’s a mammoth amount of work, because there are 30,000 boxes of financial documents,” Brubacher said. “It’s going to take a tremendous amount of time.”

However, if Jackson wants to avoid making good on the payment to Ayscough & Marar, turning over the records is his only option.

Michael McCarthy, a lawyer for Ayscough & Marar, dismissed Brubacher’s description of Jackson’s so-calling filing system.

“Thirty-thousand boxes, that’s not even credible,” McCarthy said.

Sounds like a big fat mess. Michael Jackson has a reputation for relying on the kindness of strangers without paying anyone back. How many millions of dollars worth of lawsuits is facing now? That Jackson 5 tour better do well.
