Miley Cyrus Rep Confirms Use of Body Double
Legions of Miley Cyrus fans are pissed off over her use of a body double during performances, and really, who can blame them? Given today’s ticket prices, lip syncing and body doubles simply aren’t acceptable.
After a video surfaced on the Internet showing the Miley Cyrus body double, and a fan’s letter of complain surfaced on many of the gossip blogs, reps issued a comment.
"To help speed the transition from Hannah to Miley, there is a production element during the performance of ‘We Got the Party’ incorporating a body double for Miley," the rep said in a statement.
"After Hannah has completed the featured verse on the duet with the Jonas Brothers, a body double appears approximately one to two minutes prior to the end of the song in order to allow Miley to remove the Hannah wig and costume and transform into Miley for her solo set.
"Other than during this very brief transitional moment in the show, Miley performs live during the entirety of both the Hannah and Miley segments of the concert."
You know what? Too bad. If it’s a very brief transition the audience can wait. Really, how long does it take to remove a wig? If I were the parents of a 12 year old hoping to see the real Miley Cyrus I’d catch a major attitude at shelling out $80 bucks for a body double.
