Lordy, a girl can’t even go to bed anymore. While I was sleeping, the news that Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant spread like wildfire and even more dirt came out. Here are some of the things I learned this morning:
Jamie Lynn and her boyfriend, 19 year old Casey Aldrige, have been living together. Which means her mother Lynn Spears gave permission for her daughter to shack up with a 19 year old! And isn’t that illegal anyway? Doesn’t she have to be 17 to give consent? I can see why Britney makes such poor parenting decisions, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Jamie Lynn is a girl who is supposed to be a role model for our teens and tweens!
In her interview with OK! Magazine, Jamie Lynne says, “It was a shock for both of us, so unexpected. I was in complete and total shock and so was he.” Well I would hope so. She may be dumb, but I hope she wouldn’t be dumb enough to plan this pregnancy. And why she wasn’t practicing birth control after her pregnancy scare this summer is far beyond me.
“As soon as I found out for sure from the doctor, I took two weeks to myself where I didn’t tell anybody,” Jamie Lynn went on to to say. “Only one of my friends knew because I needed to work out what I would do for myself before I let anyone’s opinion affect my decision. Then I told my parents and my friends. I was scared, but I had to do what was right for me.” At least Jamie Lynn’s friends know enough to keep their gossip to themselves and not the press. Yet.
Does Jamie Lynn still feel she’s a good influence on teens and tweens? “I definitely don’t think it’s something you should do; it’s better to wait,” she says. “But I can’t be judgmental because it’s a position I put myself in.”
Jamie Lynn also says she plans on raising her baby in Louisiana so it’ll be more or less normal, unlike the future emotionally scarred children her sister is rearing. It looks like she wants to keep her job too. “I haven’t spoken to (Nickelodeon) personally, but they have always been so great to me over the past years and have given me so many opportunities.” She so fired.
But wait…there’s more!
Mom Lynn Spears and that book on parenting? On hold indefinitely.
Even Britney has something to say, her people released this statement “Britney is aware of the news regarding Jamie Lynn’s pregnancy. She wishes her sister nothing but the best and asks for privacy during this time.” I think if Jamie Lynn wanted privacy she wouldn’t have sold her story to OK! Magazine. Oh and Britney has Sam Lutfi calling the OK! offices for an early copy of the magazine. Her sister didn’t tell her and now she’s trying to learn all the details from the tab.
Whew. I’m spent. And it’s only 5:45 AM y’all.

What in the world is going on with the world?! Even if she’s gotten pregnant so early on into life, I really wish she won’t be such a mess like her sister. Goodnes gracious Mrs. Spears. A little bit of disciplining goes a long way.
