I just love father and son bonding stories.
When Virgin Comics approached comic book fan, Nicolas Cage, about starting his own line of comics he suggested bringing his son into it. Voodoo Child is the result.
From USA Today:
“more spiritual than, say, a Superman or a Batman,” Cage says. “That’s always been more effective because there’s more believability to it.”
Weston has been interested in comics for a long time, “He has been drawing comics since he was 3. He was a natural to do it,” says Cage.
When asked if a movie could be far behind?
“I think it would be a natural movie,” Cage says. “Though I don’t think I or Weston could play Gabriel, a mixed-race child. I picture someone like Lenny Kravitz when he was 12 or 13.”
