Paris Hilton has decided not to appeal her jail sentence and has released the following statement:
“Today I told my attorneys not to appeal the judge’s decision. While I greatly appreciate the Sheriff’s concern for my health and welfare, after meeting with doctors I intend to serve my time as ordered by the judge.
” This is by far the hardest thing I have ever done. During the past several days, I have had a lot of time to reflect and have already learned a bitter, but important lesson from this experience. “
What lesson do we think Paris learned by this experience?
- Hire a driver
- Some judges can’t be bought
- Some sheriffs can be bought but have no jurisdiction over certain cases
- When ordered to one’s mansion for house arrest, it’s never a good idea to flaunt it by ordering overpriced cupcakes and fast food
- If one’s house and police car are surrounded by paparazzi, never cry on the way to the slammer
- Orange is so her color
Do we think Paris is going to stay home and stop partying after this? Perhaps for a little while, but do we really believe she’s the type of person who can lay low and stay out of the public eye for so long. Paris has been overexposed for years, maybe this will make her go away for a while.
