Patrick Swayze Diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer, Has Five Weeks to Live

March 5th, 2008

Patrick Swayze

The National Enquirer is reporting Patrick Swayze was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in January and the disease has since spread. The report claims Patrick only has about five weeks left to live.

For the past month, Patrick, 55, has been traveling to Stanford University’s prestigious cancer center in Palo Alto for radical chemotherapy, but his doctors are no longer optimistic that the treatments will be successful.

Patrick and his wife Lisa Niemi — who both have pilot’s licenses — have been flying their private Beechcraft plane into Palo Alto’s airport, minutes away from the Stanford Cancer Center, where the actor has received outpatient treatment.

He received three doses of chemotherapy and the tumor shrank, but less than his doctors had hoped for — and Patrick was told he should prepare for the end.
“He was told he could have two more treatments, but his cancer was not responding. In short - they held out little hope for a cure,” said an insider.

The man who danced into the hearts of audiences worldwide in the 1980s in Dirty Dancing and then broke them in the poignant love story Ghost in the early ’90s has lost more than 20 pounds in the past few weeks and is restricted to a liquid diet because he has trouble keeping down solid food, added the insider.

“It’s time to start praying for a miracle.”

In February, Patrick was hospitalized after undergoing a “gastro-intestinal” procedure but details were vague.

If this is true, it’s very sad. Positive thoughts are being sent to the Swayze family.

Let’s hope this is one of those instances when the Enquirer is wrong or exaggerating. We’ll keep you posted as news comes in.

UPDATE: It’s confirmed. Patrick DOES have pancreatic cancer.

Perhaps Tom Cruise could offer some Scientology advice to drive the aliens out of Patrick. It’s too bad Duke University has proven prayer doesn’t work!

Macrobiotics can work miracles for this kind of thing but only if you employ it before the chemo. -still it’s worth a shot.

Illness is a difficult thing to get rid of when you don’t know how. One way is to imagine the tumor and see it shrink and disappear in your mind. Studies have proven that imagery works on the human body. The mind does control the cells of our body so it is a natural function but it must be practiced to make it work. We’ve been brainwashed by the medical media that only a drug will make a person well—and even that’s debatable. Also, in Proverbs there is a verse which states, “A merry heart is like a medicine (cure, to be exact).” We know that for years studies have shown that stress makes one ill in ones physical body. So imagine the tumor, broken bone, sore spot, etc., to begin shrinking into nothingness, and command it to go away. Speak to it directly. Jesus spoke to the fig tree and told it to dry up when it wasn’t bearing fruit. Another verse in the Gospels says, to tell that mountain to fall into the sea. Also, say, “May all that is within me bless His Holy Name,” is another verse for healing. Praying works too, because it’s in the person’s heart who does the praying. The heart is the key to prayer. One must believe in her/his heart for the prayer to work—that’s the key to have the universe work for you. BELIEVE. When you believe you open up your conscious and unconscious parts of your mind to accept the good that is meant for you.
    God Bless you Patrick Swayze.
