I used to like Rosie O’Donnell. I thought she was funny and outspoken and would make an interesting addition to “The View.” But now that she can’t shut up and trashes her ex-colleagues every chance she gets, she’s kind of worn out her welcome.
I think the other ladies from “The View” are conducting themselves with dignity and class. I don’t really read any of them making bitter or insulting remarks towards Rosie, and feel she’s doing nothing to help her cause. In fact, Rosie is coming off looking like a spoiled brat who doesn’t get her way.
Case in point: her latest bit of comedy while on Cyndi Lauper’s “True Colors” tour:
“I got to tell you, I’ve been hanging around with those heteros for a full year and it’s not fun,” she said. “Turn around one minute and they’ll stab you in the back with a high heel. They will.”
Come again, Rosie? Heteros? How much you want to bet if I (or anyone else) made a comment about spending time with gays she’d go off on it being a “homophobic remark?” Well, I’m calling Rosie on her Heterophobic remark.
And frankly Rosie, you’re making it harder for people to want to hire you. Let’s face it, you have a history. When your magazine didn’t work out, you went on trash talking tour, and now that you’ve been a victim of a double screen, you’re again burning your bridges.
I suppose if one’s rich enough, one doesn’t have to worry about being able to find work again. I do think Rosie’s sour grapes sends a poor example though, and wish she’d stop.
