Roy Scheider, best known for his role as the Chief of Police, has died. He was 75 years old.
Roy passed away Sunday at the University of Sciences Hospital in Arkansas, but no cause of death has been released as of this writing. A hospital spokeswoman, Leslie Taylor, said Scheider had been treated for multiple myeloma at the hospital’s Myeloma Institute for Research and Therapy for the past two years.
Roy Scheider was nominated for two Academy Awards for “The French Connection” and “All that Jazz.” His most famouse role however, was in the shark thriller “Jaws”.
