You won’t catch Sarah Michelle Gellar flashing her boobs or vomiting under tables at trendy Hollywood nightclubs. The former “Buffy” star feels her celebrity comes with responsibility. Go figure.
“I take being a role model very seriously. If I’m able to help or lend my support to something because I’m in a position where people look up to me, then it’s my responsibility to appreciate and honour that. It’s certainly not something I take lightly.”
It’s nice to see someone who is famous and under the age of 90 realizes there are kids who look up to her. Gellar also doesn’t understand why the media is obsessed with bad girls instead of focusing on the good:
“It makes me sad. There are actually so many people who are doing wonderful things and being good role models but because it doesn’t make an interesting story people aren’t aware of it.”
