Spider-man Still Remains in the Top
Even though numbers for Spider-man 3 dropped significantly during it’s second weekend, the popular franchise still managed to take in $60 million. The movie dropped more than 60%, yet still continues to remain on top as the No. 1 movie thus far.
Spider-man 3 opened to a record breaking weekend, and according to Paul Dergarabedian, president of box office tracker Media By Numbers, this is “an appropriate second week drop.”
After taking in more than 240 million dollars in ten days, Spider-man 3 outshone it’s franchise predecessors.
Even Fox Atomic’s second-place movie “28 Weeks Later” only brought in $10 million, which compared to Spidey seems abysmal.
Georgia Rule, Disturbia and Delta Farce rounded out the top 5 movies over the past weekend.
