Tennessee Doesn’t Want to Honor Justin Timberlake

Tennessee State Senator Ophelia Ford recently proposed to honor Timberlake for his successful music career - why? Because he’s a Tennessee native.

However, it appears that not everyone shares the same sentiments about Timberlake.

Sen. Raymond Finney, Maryville actually removed the resolution from a list of items that are expected to garner support in the Senate.

Says Finney, “It’s not something I want my name on.”

It seems that many people don’t want to call attention to Timberlake’s provocative songs like “SexyBack” and “Rock Your Body.”

Reps for Timberlake have yet to comment.
