Wesley Snipes is above paying taxes. In fact, he owes taxes on $38 million. Now, I’m no math major but even I can tell he’s due to pay out a helluva lot of money. Pre-hearing documents show Snipes not only didn’t pay taxes on $37.9 million earned from 1999 - 2004 but he also attempted to get over $11 million in refunds from the IRS. Now that’s balls. Especially when you consider he was warned by the Government in 2002 to start paying up. He didn’t and here we are.
The prosecution claims Snipes is part of an organization geared towards protesting taxes called American Right Irrigators. What a fool, doesn’t he know the IRS always catches up? Wesley’s trial begins next week in Florida.
